Cake Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350*F and prepare an 8x8 baking dish with non-stick spray or parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, apple cider, applesauce, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add in the cake mix, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves and combine.
- Pour into the baking dish and bake for 25-32 minutes. You may need a few additional minutes depending on your oven. The applesauce will make it extra moist, resulting in slightly longer baking time.
- Let cool completely.

Frosting Instructions
- In an electric stand mixer, add the butter and mix on low for 1-2 minutes until smooth and creamy.
- Slowly add in the powdered sugar until it becomes a frosting consistency.
- Add in the milk, vanilla extract, orange zest, and cinnamon until combined.
- Frost the cake once the cake is cooled. Using an offset spatula, make swoops in the frosting to get a textured look.
