Description

Who doesn’t love a themed food around the holidays? Halloween is almost here, and I’ll take any excuse to make pumpkin shaped food, even if there isn’t any pumpkin in it. The roasted red peppers create the perfect shade of orange in the filling, and provides a smokey flavor that is perfect for the fall. Honestly, I may never use the traditional deviled egg recipe again, because this one is so good.

Ingredients

Instructions

    1. Hard boil the eggs with your preferred method. I used the Ninja Foodi Air Fryer. Preheat air fryer at 300*F for 5 minutes. Add the eggs in and air fry for 12 minutes. Immediately move the eggs into a bowl with ice water.
    2. Once the eggs are cooled, remove from the ice water and remove the shells.
    3. Cut each egg in half, lengthwise and scoop out the yolk into a food processor bowl. Set the egg white halves aside on a plate.
    4. Once all of the yolks are in the food processor, add the mayo, mustard, roasted red peppers, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, and salt and pepper.
    5. Pulse on high until smooth and your desired orange color. Add more or less roasted red peppers to adjust the shade of orange.
    6. Add the filling into a small plastic sandwich bag, or a piping bag, and snip the corner of the bag.
    7. Squeeze the filling into each egg white half, just to the top. Place a small chive piece at the top of each filling for the “stem”.
